Nicole Formica-Schiller is a prominent figure in the European AI and global innovation ecosystem and advisor to industry, politics and academia. Forbes selected her for “most innovative ideas” in AI and Blockchain.

As CEO of Pamanicor Health in Switzerland, she founded one of the first global advisory firms leveraging Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Blockchain with Life Science, Digital Health, Biotech, Venture Capital, Private Equity, Digital Policy, Data.

She is well-known for advising Boards, SMEs and corporations in transformative solutions, strategic direction and operational implementation of digital initiatives. As well as her ability to translate complex digital trends of tomorrow into use cases of today. Aligned with corporate strategy, regulatory requirements and data-driven business models to drive excellence in execution.

With her interdisciplinary background as digital innovation expert, lawyer and economist, Nicole Formica-Schiller got appointed as “OECD AI Expert”. Leveraging her competencies in strategic tech, policy and geopolitics. Providing AI-specific policy advice to OECD – OCDE’s Committee on Digital Economy Policy (CDEP).

Renowned for her expertise in AI regulation, governance, digital sovereignty, Nicole Formica-Schiller was one of the initial contributors to EU AI Act negotiations with representatives from the European Commission and Parliament, as well as Governments.

She advises parliaments, ministries and commissions including the German parliament and Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs, Data Ethics Commission, Digital Ministry Bavaria, Australian Trade Investment Commission, Bavarian Ministry of Economic Affairs, and others as a subject matter expert.

She has been appointed to various Boards including the Board of German Israeli Health Forum for AI (GHIF-AI), advising German and Israeli Health Ministries. As well as the Board of the German AI Association where Nicole Formica-Schiller played a key role shaping one of Europe’s largest AI and Start-up ecosystems. Heading also its Steering Committee “EU AI Regulation – EU AI Act” and co-authoring the position paper “EU Regulation of Artificial Intelligence” submitted to national and EU stakeholders.

As Board member on the “International Advisory Board Digital Science & Interdisciplinary Technologies” of Paris Lodron University Salzburg (PLUS) in Austria Nicole Formica-Schiller provides strategic advice for establishing its new Faculty Digital & Analytical Sciences (e.g. Human Computer Interaction). Including curriculum, a research college, selecting Professors, Phds, Post-Docs and guiding the Steering and Scientific Board.

Nicole Formica-Schiller is regularly featured in the media (e.g. Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung (FAZ), Handelsblatt, E-Health-Com, Tagesspiegel, NTV, National Geographic, Breaking Through), with The London Financial portraying her as “internationally recognized AI expert”.

Nicole Formica-Schiller is appointed as role model in AI and digital professions by former Bavaria’s Digital Minister patronaged by Prime Minister Dr. Markus Söder. As digital thought leader she is a sought-after speaker at (inter-)national level.

As part of her ongoing publications her “top pre-order” listed book “AI and Blockchain in Healthcare: COVID-19 and future-oriented technologies revolutionizing the Status quo” (Elsevier) is a wake-up call!

Before founding Pamanicor Health, Nicole Formica-Schiller pursued a successful career across Europe, US, and Asia at Nord Stream (CEO Liaison Officer) involved in one of Europe’s largest stakeholder consultations, paving the way for European governmental approvals and policies across different jurisdictions, at Freshfields (IT / IP), Shearman Sterling, Allianz. She graduated as an Attorney-at-law from the prestigious Ludwig-Maximilians-University Munich, Germany, with an additional economics and business degree. As well as Public Policy from Blavatnik School of Government, Oxford University.
